Transitional Provisions for Licences

  • Registration of Licence under Section 278 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.

    In accordance with Section 278 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, a valid licence issued under the repealed Telecommunications Act 1950 and the repealed Broadcasting Act 1988 shall only be effective up to 31 March 2000 unless it has been registered with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission before 1 April 2000.

  • Indication of Intention to Seek a Licence under Section 280 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.

    In accordance with Section 280 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, a holder of a valid licence issued under the Repealed Acts shall indicate in writing to the Minister of Energy, Communications and Multimedia Malaysia whether he intends to seek a licence under the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, by 31 March 2000.
