The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission carries out studies and research in three main areas with the aim to provide reliable and accurate information and knowledge to foster an informed industry. The three main areas are:
Spectrum research collaboration and partnership with institutes of higher learning and Industry in conducting studies and research in spectrum related matters
Research and report on market performance and trends
Statistics and reports on topical areas of interest to the Industry and users. These research activities result in some published works for the benefit of the industry. Among the key published reports are the following: Communications and Multimedia Market and Financial Review Bulletins The Communications and Multimedia Market and Financial Review Bulletins are issued every quarter by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission. The Bulletin contains an overview of the local communications and multimedia industry and featured reports on specific markets. Industry Performance Reports The Industry Performance Reports are issued annually. The reports contain the industry’s performance based on the financial growth, the quality of service, consumer expectations and the impact of regulatory initiatives. Industry Studies The Industry Studies are reports on emerging services and other topical areas which the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Industry is embarking on. The bi-annual Postal and Courier Services Selected Facts and Figures This volume brings together pertinent statistics about the postal and courier services.
