CYBERJAYA, 27 May 2020 --- B40 households and people with disabilities who have not received the free myFreeview decoders have four days before the 31 May 2020 deadline to register through the provided dedicated channels.

They may check their eligibility and subsequently indicate their interest to receive the free myFreeview decoder by filling up a form at www.mytvbroadcasting.my/B40 with their complete personal details including name, identity card number, full address and telephone number or by contacting the MYTV Careline at 1800-18-1088/1-300-80- 6988. As of 25 May 2020, 157,276 individuals from B40 households and people with disabilities have registered to receive their free myFreeview decoder.

After the 31 May 2020 closing date, delivery of decoders using courier services will start throughout the country in stages from June onwards. The initiative to provide 300,000 additional free myFreeview decoders by the government would ensure that no one would be left behind in getting easy access to information as well as entertainment through the free and high quality digital TV broadcast.

MyFreeview offers digital TV, without monthly subscription fees, featuring 15 high-definition (HD) channels and six (6) radio channels. Besides offering information and entertainment, myFreeview channels also provide TV home shopping opportunities for both viewers and merchants.
