YBrs. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Salmi Bin Mohd Sohod

YBrs. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Salmi is a seasoned educationist, having been involved in both private and public higher education for more than 30 years now.  Currently, YBrs Prof. Dr. Mohamad Salmi  is a Professor and Chairman of Asia Metropolitan University. He also currently sits on the Board of Governors of several other universities, namely Kings University College, ASIA Metropolitan International School and Cyberjaya University.  He is a member of the Board of Trustee of Yayasan Foodbank Malaysia, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Uniutama Management Holdings Sdn. Bhd.  Prior to that, he served as an Associate Professor in Universiti Utara Malaysia and as a Professor/Deputy Vice Chancellor at Universiti Tun Abdul Razak. YBrs. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Salmi used to serve as a Professor/Associate Dean at Sheikh Hamdan University, Dubai United Arab Emirates in 2002.
 
He obtained his BSc in Manufacturing from Western Michigan University, USA; MSc in Manufacturing/Industrial from Western Michigan University, USA; and a PhD in Management from University of Bradford in the United Kingdom. His specialisations include Strategic Management/Planning, Technology Management, Human Resource Management and Entrepreneurship.  
 
YBrs. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Salmi’s professional expertise in strategic management and entrepreneurship was sought when he was appointed as Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia from 2018 until 2020 and as a Member of the Entrepreneurs Development Council, Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives in 2018.
 
YBrs. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Salmi has published and presented many academic papers locally and internationally, and conducted various research and consultancy in the areas of technology, entrepreneurship and corporate strategies.
