YBhg. Datuk Haji Ruji bin Haji Ubi

 
 

YBhg. Datuk Haji Ruji bin Haji Ubi has been appointed as Commission Member of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission effective from 6 February 2024 for a period of two (2) years.

Born in Sabah on June 18, 1970, YBhg. Datuk Haji Ruji bin Haji Ubi holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science from the University of Malaya in 1995. He later continued his studies in International Studies at the University of Queensland, Australia, in 2010.

YBhg. Datuk Haji Ruji bin Haji Ubi has served as a public servant for 28 years. He began his career as an Assistant Secretary in 1996 at the Ministry of Finance. Throughout his 28 years in public service, YBhg. Datuk Haji Ruji bin Haji Ubi has served in various government agencies, including the Institut Tadbiran Awam Negara (INTAN), the Prime Minister's Department, the Ministry of Higher Education, and the Ministry of Defence. He currently holds the position of Secretary General at the Ministry of Home Affairs.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to public service, Datuk Haji Ruji bin Haji Ubi has been bestowed with prestigious awards, including the Bintang Setia Kinabalu (B.S.K) in 2005, the Kesatria Mangku Negara and Ahli Darjah Kinabalu (A.D.K) in 2013, the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang in 2016, and the Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu (P.G.D.K) in 2018.
