As provided in Section 81 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission is required to maintain a Register, in both physical and electronic form, all matters which are required to be registered under the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and its subsidiary legislation.
The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission is currently maintaining twenty-five registers in accordance with the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.

Apparatus Assignment is an assignment issued to a person or organization that needs to use and/or operate telecommunication apparatus in a specific frequency band. The register of apparatus assignment for the following activities is maintained by the Malaysian Communications And Multimedia Commission.
The Register of Individual Licence for the following activities will be maintained by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission upon approval of application for Individual Licence for the respective categories of licences.

The commission maintains a register of persons who comply with the standards (Proficient Persons) for each designated skill area in relation to radio operators and non-radio operators.
