Integrity has been a part of MCMC's core values since its establishment as convergent communications and multimedia industry in Malaysia in the mid 1990s. This has been reinforced by our commitment to upholding good governance and ethical business practice by establishing relevant policies, procedures, and mechanisms. The demarcation of Integrity and Governance Department (IGD) role from the Integrity and Industrial Relations Department (IIRD), Human Capital Division (HCD) started on 16th October 2023 and IGD was established to perform functions to further enhance MCMC Integrity and Governance. The objectives of IGD are mainly to assist the Chairman of the Commission, the Audit & Risk Committee (ARC) and relevant subcommittee of MCMC in the implementation of integrity activities and promote ethical conduct within MCMC. Under the directive of MCMC's Audit and Risk Committee (ARC), IGD’s four core functions are Complaint Management, Detection and Verification, Integrity Enhancement and Governance. For compliance and disciplinary functions, it falls under the Human Capital Division.
