Overall management of information/complaints received on criminal misconduct, abuse of power, malpractice as well as violation of the agency’s code of conduct and ethics to ensure that action is taken on each information/complain with primary objective to ensure the efficiency of the complaints management system.
MCMC Whistleblowing Policy was establish to provide a platform for employees and external parties , to disclose any improper conduct that relates to the comissions. This form of disclosure would for the purposes of this policy be known as an act of whistleblowing. The Policy may assist in identifying and/or detecting problems or wrongdoings at early stage that can prevent the occurence of more detrimental effects within the Commision. With this Policy, the Comission would be better prepared in managing risks and contigencies including how to prevent similar problems or wrongdoings from reocurring. The Commission is fully commited to the values of transparency, integrity impartiality and accountability in all of its business affairs, and this policy would be able to contribute towards the strengthening of internal governance and the fostering of an environment which maintains ethicalbehaviour and integrity. MCMC provides avenue for all employees of MCMC and the public to disclose any improper conduct by MCMC employees. The whistleblower’s confidentiality is guaranteed and protected by Whistleblower Protection Act 2010.
