2021 MCMC Research Symposium

The 2021 Research Symposium has showcased and discussed selected MCMC funding within this year's thematic focus of "Beyond the Pandemic: The Road to Sustainable Socio-Economic Recovery". The 2021 theme is in keeping with the nation's efforts to recover from the social and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic against the backdrop of MCMC's efforts in delivering JENDELA targets and the wider national efforts at realising the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint.
Beyond MCMC's efforts and role in supporting these national efforts, the Seminar has showcased research works within the context of societal implications in dealing with the "new normal" but also in facilitating the people's ability to exploit anticipated improvements in network capacity and speed for their socio-economic upliftment.

Panel Session 2 – Building societal resilience and wellness through ICT
Abstract-
Session presents DSRG research within the context of ensuring user benefits and self-regulation, taking into consideration of the key challenges faced by the different user groups. The session also explores the elements promoting societal resilience and wellness, which can be achieved through collective legislative, enforcement, administrative, regulatory elements and welfare initiatives.
