Telco tower benefits 2,000 in Papar village

PAPAR: Some 2,000 people, including school children, in Kg Gana can now enjoy smooth internet after the telecommunication tower built under the National Digital Network (Jendela) project, here, was operational last month.

Limbahau Assemblyman Datuk Juil Nuatim said parents were grateful to the government for providing such facility so that their children can study better with good Internet connection which also benefit the teachers at SK Gana.

Apart from them, he said motorists, including those from Sarawak and Brunei, who pass through Kg Gana  along the Pan Borneo highway also benefited as the police, ambulance or firefighters could be contacted easily in case of emergencies.

“The telco tower in Kg Gana was operational on Aug 30 and we are very thankful to the Federal Government through the  Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), State Government-linked company Qhazanah Sabah Berhad and its subsidiary company, Common Tower Technologies Sdn Bhd (CTTSB) for fulfilling the aspiration and need of villagers here.
