BATU KURAU, Oct 1: Perak has been selected as one of the states for the implementation of the 5G service network beginning this month, said state Communications, Multimedia and Non-Governmental Organisations Committee chairman Hasnul Zulkarnain Abd Munaim.
He said an investment company would develop the 5G infrastructure at an industrial area in Tanjung Malim.
“A study will be conducted in the first quarter of next year on the impact of 5G network before it is expanded in other parts of the state,” he told reporters after launching a drug prevention a programme at Sekolah Kebangsaan Gudang nere here today.
Hasnul Zulkarnain said he would hold a meeting with the company next week to further discuss the matter.
